Kinetic Apple No. 2

Kinetic Apple No.2 (2024), showcased at the Animation as Art exhibition at the Museum of Texas Tech University, further developed the concepts of touch and motion introduced in Kinetic Apple No.1. Using two haptic devices arranged in a widescreen 16:9 format, the installation invited viewers to engage with 416 moving pins using both hands. Enhanced Arduino programming mirrored motion across the two devices, while an upgraded projector blended abstract 2D animations seamlessly with the tactile experience, projecting visuals onto viewers’ hands as they interacted with the device.
